CANADIAN NATIONAL TEAM
Loren Gabel (born July 24th, 1997) is a native of Kitchener, Ontario and a member of the Canadian National women's hockey team. She made her debut for the Canadian National team in November of 2018 at the Four Nations Cup in Saskatoon. Most recently, in March 2019 she was the winner of the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award which is presented annually to the top female hockey player in NCAA Division I women's hockey.
Loren completed her collegiate career at Clarkson University as the all-time leading scorer for the Golden Knights with 213 points on 116 goals and 97 assists through 160 games. She recorded a Clarkson career record of 7 hatricks, holds the record for the fastest hatrick in the NCAA (2:21 minutes) and scored the fastest goal by a Golden Knight (8 seconds). In 2019 she led NCAA Division I women's hockey with a season best 40 goals and received the 2019 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award presented annually to the best women's hockey player in NCAA Division I hockey. She was also named the MVP of Clarkson women's hockey and named to the ECAC Hockey All-Academic team.
She is currently a member of the Professional Women's Hockey Player's Association in the GTA region.
